Job Summary

  • Demonstrates competency in the physical care of the patient according to AHF/unit patient care standards, including personal care for all body systems, pre- and post-op/procedure care, and patient in restraints.
  • Accurately performs/documents intake/output, vital signs, weights and other monitoring, including computerized charting, and promptly notifies nurse of abnormal findings.
  • Assists in achieving unit quality scores which meet or exceed hospital/national average for nurse-sensitive quality indicators such as skin breakdown, falls, and others as appropriate for the unit.
