Job Summary

  • The Assistant Field Officer will follow up on processes with public institutions and stakeholders in the provinces under the AFU area of responsibility.
  • The incumbent will regularly travel to border gates and conduct interviews with individuals arriving and departing in order to identify protection concerns and trends.
  • The Assistant Field Officer will coordinate regular meetings with partners and local authorities operating in the region and maintain close communication with relevant stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of refugee law
  • Good knowledge of UNHCR's programmes
  • UNHCR Operations Management Learning Programme
  • Fluency in English and Turkish
