Must-have

  • Manage onsite bargaining unit lab technicians
  • Experience in material characterization
  • Metallurgy and metallographic sample preparation
  • Mechanical and thermal properties testing
  • Tribology testing for nano materials
  • Additive manufacturing of metals and plastics
  • Wet chemistry analyses

Nice-to-have

  • Supervisory experience in a union environment
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Chemistry
  • Experience with lab testing and microscopy equipment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Key Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • STEM degree with 10+ years experience or Advanced Degree with 7+ years
  • 5+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, or chemistry lab
  • 3+ years prior experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Experience in at least 2 areas of material characterization
