The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Risk Management Coordinator to oversee the development and execution of the organization's Risk Management Plan, aimed at enhancing patient safety and reducing risks. Job Summary

  • The Clinical Risk Coordinator works with the Director to develop and execute the Risk Management Plan with the primary aim being to protect patients, staff members, and visitors from inadvertent injury by providing an ongoing, comprehensive, and systematic approach to reducing risk exposures to improve quality of care and mitigate financial loss.
  • Responsibilities include evaluation of adverse and sentinel events utilizing effective communication, facilitation of root cause analyses, coordination, and implementation of loss prevention and loss mitigation activities to promote a culture of safety and to create a safe environment for quality patient care.

Key Requirements

  • Clinical Healthcare Degree (BSN, RT, PT, OT, SLP, LCSW)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in clinical field or experience
  • 5+ Years clinical experience
  • CPPS, CPHQ, and/or CPHRM within 12 months of hire
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, EPIC, RLDatix
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States
