Avangrid Power is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician for their facility in Moro, OR, responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of wind turbine equipment. The position requires technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems and offers competitive pay based on experience

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for the onsite operations, maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment on a wind powered generation plant and leads in all areas of plant operations as directed by the Plant Manager.
  • Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM maintenance manuals and perform various retrofits and design modifications.
  • Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily to perform maintenance in the nacelle and hub and ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift items up to 100 pounds.

Technician I to Technician III range: $28.50 to $41.25 hourly DOE

Key Requirements

  • One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work in extremely adverse weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Weight must not exceed 285lbs excluding equipment/gear
