Job Summary

  • The lead technologist is responsible for ongoing assessment of test systems and ensuring timely and accurate testing in the clinical area.
  • This leadership role requires working closely with the Lab Section Supervisor, Lab Administration, and Pathologists while displaying initiative and excellent communication skills.
  • Employees must adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • ASCP NCA or AMT licensure

  • Five years experience in Medical Technology
  • Proactive problem resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work with diverse age groups
  • Experience with Quest tools

Key Requirements

  • SM (Specialty in Microbiology) Certification required
  • ASCP, NCA, or AMT licensure required
  • High School Diploma or GED minimum
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Technical expertise in Medical Technology
