The Field Investigator assists forensic pathologists by performing death scene investigations in compliance with Minnesota Statutes and DOJ guidelines.
Candidates must be willing to reside within one hour of the assigned county or relocate within three weeks of hire.
Compensation includes $3.00 per hour on-call, $100.00 per scene visit, and $20.00 per hour for training, plus mileage reimbursement.

Experience with death scene photography and documentation

Knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes
Experience interviewing grieving families
Understanding of chain of custody procedures
Ability to coordinate with law enforcement agencies
Key Requirements

Pass pre-employment criminal/driving background check and drug screen
Complete DOT physical examination prior to employment
