Job Summary

  • Work in this class primarily involves the operation of standard hand tools, power equipment, vehicles, and heavy equipment utilized in the preventative maintenance, repair, and construction of roads and roadside features for the State’s highway and roadway systems.
  • The selected candidate must be able to legally operate CDL required equipment /trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions at the time of hire or within 360 days of hire date.
  • Position requires work during any adverse weather such as snow and/or ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. which can lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays.
