Job Summary
Maintain public compliance of municipal and provincial regulations through education and enforcement.
Receive, investigate and document complaints with respect to contraventions of the Dog Owner’s Liability Act and Municipal Bylaws.
Due to operational requirements, the incumbent must be available to work nights, afternoons and weekends.

Key Requirements
Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Law and Security, Investigative Studies or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in law enforcement
Ability to research and interpret municipal by-laws and provincial statutes
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Valid class G driver’s license with acceptable driver’s abstract
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
OAPSO (Ontario Association of Property Standards Officers) certification
MLEO (Municipal Law Enforcement Officers) certification
