The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Assistant District Engineer for its District 1 Construction office in Rowan County. Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for the coordination, review, and approval of technical plans and drawings relating to driveway permit applications, utility encroachment requests/agreements, subdivision design plans and standard and process for road additions.
Position will be responsible for the supervision of subordinate employees and will perform field inspections and prepare deficiency letters as it relates to road additions and onsite inspections for compliance with NCDOT specifications.
Position will also work closely with the construction staff to administer and manage construction projects, including preparing monthly/final pay estimates, creating, reviewing, and evaluating supplemental agreements and claims.
