Job Summary

  • Under close supervision, provides non-professional direct or indirect care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient care setting, including participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe.
  • This position works as a role model for consumers, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills and will assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the consumer.

Salary

Base: MHT I $29,328.20/$14.10 hour; MHT II $31,799.00/$15.29 hour; MHT III $34,517.00/ $16.59 hour; Bonus/Equity: Extra $.50/hour for evenings and nights, Extra $.75/hour for weekends and holidays, Extra $1/hour for inpatient or crisis unit; Benefits: Full Compensation Range of $39,327.00 - $57,537.00 (includes base salary, retirement and benefits allowance)

Key Requirements

  • MHT I: No experience or education required
  • MHT II: One year of patient care experience
  • MHT III: Two years of patient care experience
  • CNA certified applicants preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pass an OSBI background check
  • Negative drug test result for safety sensitive positions
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds
  • Able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds
