The University of Arkansas is seeking an Instructor of Special Education to teach and mentor students in special education programs. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Special Education, relevant teaching experience, and leadership roles in K-12 settings

Job Summary

  • The Instructor of Special Education requires collaborating with the Coordinator of Clinical Partnerships and program faculty in establishing of residency sites and the process of matching of mentors with residents across Northwest Arkansas.
  • The Instructor of Special Education will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities: (1) teach graduate and undergraduate level courses in special education on campus, online, and in immersive field placements such as Professional Development Schools, (2) lead, mentor, and oversee the supervision of residents and student teacher candidates in K-12 settings; (3) teach courses in curriculum, pedagogy, and classroom management; (4) participate in student advisement and mentoring, including service on undergraduate and graduate student advisory committees; and (5) provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
