Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
Execute transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
Conduct stress echocardiograms (SE)
Inspect TEE probe and perform leakage tests
Record measurements in 2-d and M-mode
Nice-to-have
Participate in Continuous Performance Improvement
Work at satellite facilities and clinics
Respond to emergency callbacks quickly
Key Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
RDCS or RCS1 certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Associate's Degree in Echocardiography preferred
Graduate of CAAHEP accredited program with 800 clinical hours preferred
1 year experience as an echo sonographer preferred
