The Director of Staff Development is responsible for planning and implementing facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants.
This role involves working with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times, including providing direct resident/patient care.
Key responsibilities include coordinating hiring, managing payroll and benefits, planning and conducting drills, and identifying education needs through various feedback mechanisms.
