Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager establishes and maintains efficient operations of the Trauma Registry to meet the Pennsylvania Trauma System Foundation and other data collection and other reporting requirements.
Abstracts data from the medical record for data collection and performs data entry and verification functions for the Trauma Registrar according to established deadlines and written procedures to assure timeliness and accuracy of database.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Post high school training in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical/therapeutic modalities
CSTR/CAISS certification preferred
RHIA, RHIT or CSTR or equivalent in training/experience preferred
ICD 10-CM coding preferred
Knowledge of ICD10-CM coding and AIS scoring preferred
