Must-have

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to read gas meters accurately
  • Frequent travel to customer premises
  • Use of hand tools such as meter key
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Safety sensitive role with background checks

Nice-to-have

  • Bilingual Spanish skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Ability to use mapping technologies
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to balance and prioritize workload

Key Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience or equivalent certification
  • Ability to pass background screenings including driving record and drug testing
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of company credit policies and NC Utilities Commission rules
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
