Job Summary

  • The Department of Public Safety's mission is to safeguard and preserve the lives and property of the people of North Carolina through preparation, prevention, and protection with integrity and honor.
  • This Area 2 Coordinator position serves as a liaison and representative between the NC Division of Emergency Management (NCEM) and NCEM Area 2 consisting of Martin, Bertie, Pitt, Hyde, Beaufort, Washington and Tyrrell counties.
  • This position works from a home office with limited regular supervisory oversight and is subject to be on-call for emergency / disaster response on a 24-hour / day basis.
