Job Summary

  • The Executive Director of Engineering and Operations is responsible for the successful management of Engineering and Operations (E&O).
  • The Engineering & Operations Department is responsible for the proper and sustainable maintenance and operations of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm Systems, Grounds, Energy Management, and Minor Renovation and Construction Projects for 5M square feet.
  • This position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Support Services and is a primary leader for UAMS’s work in all areas of sustainable operations.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field
  • 12 years of healthcare leadership experience
  • 7 years of supervisory experience
  • CHFM certification
  • Certified Healthcare Construction (CHC) certification
  • Master's degree in engineering, architecture, business, healthcare administration or environmental sciences (preferred)
  • PE, AIA, LEED AP, CEM, CEFP, ACP, PMP certifications (preferred)
  • Six Sigma knowledge
