Job Summary

  • This is a highly technical position responsible for the repair maintenance, modification, and installation of all the high voltage underground/overhead electrical distribution systems and security and street lighting on the LSU-Baton Rouge campus and all ancillary campus locations.
  • Supervises and assists with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the campus electrical 4160V and 13.8kV distribution systems, including ordering materials, troubleshooting, scheduling outages, and equipment coordination.

Key Requirements

  • Four years of experience in building construction trades, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, building construction, building maintenance, or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges
  • Completion of a two-year vocational technical program plus two years of experience
  • Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, engineering plus two years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Subject to drug screens
