Skills & Requirements

Key Requirements

• post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation, leisure or activation studies or therapeutic recreation
• degree or diploma in Social Service Worker in Gerontology; Music Therapy; or Gerontology that includes at least 3 courses in recreation, leisure or therapeutic recreation
• diploma in kinesiology or other related field
• experience providing recreation program planning and implementation with seniors with physical and cognitive impairment is considered an asset
• demonstration of oral and written communication skills
• ability to problem solve
