Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Perform EKGs and phlebotomy procedures
Administer medications under provider direction
Document patient visits in electronic medical record
Collect co-payments and manage billing inquiries
Nice-to-have
Graduate of accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma program
Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred
Assist with orientation of new personnel
Inventory medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
Participate in patient safety and quality improvement programs
Key Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Current CMA or RMA certification required
Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
Certification from NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA
Preferred: Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
