Job Summary

  • The Manufacturing Engineer, Automation Controls works with electricians and mechanics, manufacturing leaders and machine operators as well as other manufacturing engineers with the goal of improving process capability, lowering manufacturing cost, increasing reliability and reducing waste in the operation.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting existing automated systems, validating and maintaining control system design/architecture, and conducting root cause analysis to resolve technical issues within automation.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Technology, Instrumentation Technology or equivalent
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with automated control systems
  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering
  • Proficiency with PLCs, robots, machine vision, servos, HMIs, and sensors
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC logic
  • Experience modifying and creating PLC programs
  • Experience modifying and creating HMI screens
  • Experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of networked and distributed IO, Ethernet IP and IO Link
  • Experience with current safety standards (ISO, IEC, OSHA)
