Job Summary

  • The Behavioral Health Specialist role is integrated within the Family Medicine Residency (FM) program at AltaMed and will utilize the primary care behavioral health delivery (PCBH) model.
  • Primary duties include the supervision of family medicine residents in behavioral medicine within the PCBH consultation model at the AltaMed South Gate clinic.

Key Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology or social work (LCSW)
  • Completion of a clinical internship/residency
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in integrated behavioral health services using PCBH
  • Experience working in an academic setting preferred
  • Knowledgeable of current medical staff self-care and resiliency models
  • Clinically active in direct patient care and/or supervision
