Job Summary

  • The IDNO Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring Sphere’s network design, engineering and technical standards are within strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory licence obligations and safety legislation for the electricity distribution network.
  • As the SME, this role will act as a decision maker on engineering matters (engineering assurance sign off) within the Sphere team, providing key guidance to the Sphere Leadership team.

Key Requirements

  • Engineering qualification (BSc/BEng) or relevant experience
  • postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Proven experience of distribution network design
  • expert knowledge of design standards up to 33kV
  • Technical and operational experience in utility
  • Experience with National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) preferred
  • Direct or indirect line management experience
