Must-have

  • NDT Visual Testing Level II Certification
  • AAR and FRA regulatory knowledge
  • Visual dimensional mechanical inspections
  • Billing repair card estimation skills
  • Ability to enter tank car manways
  • Experience with AS400 and Railsource systems

Nice-to-have

  • AWS CWI or AMPP Coating Inspector certification
  • Knowledge of airbrakes and welding processes
  • Root cause corrective action experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency

Key Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years railcar repair or inspection experience
  • NDT VT Level II Certification per AAR M1002
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 14 feet
  • Vision correctable to J2 or 20/30
