Job Summary

  • This position serves as a consultant to the Radioactive Materials Branch and the Radiation Protection Section on radiological health matters, interpretation of federal and state regulations and rules governing the control and use of radioactive materials and the use of accelerators for research, industrial, and medical use.
  • The position handles complex licensing and health physics questions from the public and liaises with the public, the Radiation Protection Commission and the Department to develop rules and licensing guidance for the implementation of the state's radiation safety program.
