Job Summary

  • You will be involved with end-to-end preparation of Future EO missions through appropriate engineering, coordination and management activities, working closely with various ESA divisions and Earth Observation users.
  • The role includes responsibilities as Study Manager and Technical Officer for defining, negotiating, initiating and managing industrial activities and mission studies for EO future missions and small satellite projects.

Must-have

  • Preparation of EO missions Phases 0 and A
  • Technical coordination of engineering teams

  • End-to-end mission performance simulation
  • Knowledge of ESA development processes
  • Coordination with Earth Observation users

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with optical and microwave remote sensing
  • Hands-on satellite integration and test
  • Knowledge of EO spaceborne instrumentation
  • Experience in team/project environments
  • Forward thinking and continuous improvement
  • Fostering cooperation and relationship management

Key Requirements

  • Master's degree or PhD in engineering or physics
  • At least six years relevant space mission experience
  • Ability to coordinate with EO users on mission requirements
  • Experience in space mission preparation and development
  • Good knowledge of English or French
