Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 5 years progressive experience repairing mechanical hardware
  • Diagnose and resolve system failures
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Roche products
  • Provide on-site technical support to laboratory customers
  • Up to 25% travel required including overnight

Nice-to-have

  • Advanced knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to serve as internal technical resource
  • Support after hours and on weekends/holidays
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Basic chemistry knowledge

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma plus 2 years technical school or equivalent military training
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field
  • 5 years progressive experience repairing complex mechanical/system hardware and software
  • Certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
  • Ability to travel including some overnight travel
