Job Summary

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Operate heavy equipment and trucks
  • Work zone and workplace safety knowledge
  • Manual labor in difficult terrain and weather
  • Emergency response including snow and ice removal
  • Transport inmates for work detail
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, emergency call backs

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with pipe installation and erosion control
  • Experience with asphalt patching and ditch maintenance
  • Customer focus and environmental sensitivity

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience operating related equipment
  • Commercial Driver’s License at hire or within 360 days
  • Minimum age 21 for inmate transport card
  • Pre-employment drug testing and background checks

Work Rights

Must be at least 21 years old and pass criminal history check for inmate transport; CDL required at hire or within 360 days
