** Amtrak is seeking a Senior Engineer for Track Data Systems & Management, focused on developing and supervising information technologies and electromechanical systems for the Track Geometry Testing program. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in signal processing, sensor dynamics, and back-end software development. **

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision of back-end information technologies and electromechanical sensory systems required by Amtrak’s Track Geometry Testing program.
  • Develop programs, software and/or design networks which will provide a common database of engineering information and a means of information exchange and dissemination between the various engineering disciplines.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 6 years of relevant work experience
  • 2.5+ years sensory systems/instrumentation/RDBMS
  • 8+ years relevant experience preferred
  • Experience with VBA, SQL, Python, Matlab, PowerBI, Tableau, Survey123, Bentley Assetwise, ESRI, and ArcGIS
  • Experience with data lakehouse platforms
