This role performs prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, competently performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
Responsibilities include positioning patients, analyzing results, taking action to resolve image quality issues, entering and reporting scan results, reviewing patient history, and educating patients.
The role also involves preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications, monitoring patient condition, preparing equipment and supplies, selecting exposure factors, and implementing safety and quality control procedures.
