Key Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge and skills for age-related resident needs
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Leadership and supervisory ability
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
