Job Summary
This one year training program is for recent or soon to be high school graduates and alternative school graduates, teaching them about state government and highway maintenance.
Trainees will work with a maintenance crew to repair and maintain roads, bridges, signs, and facilities, helping to keep Oregon’s roads safe.
Upon completion, trainees may qualify for a Transportation Maintenance Specialist 2 position and are encouraged to apply for permanent ODOT jobs at any time.

Ability to obtain Class A CDL learner permit within 60 days
