Job Summary
This position will serve as a Medical Billing Specialist and customer service specialist for the Dental Faculty Practice OMFS.
The role will perform coding medical and dental, prior authorization submission for providers and facility for in-patient and out-patient services, appeals process, submission of both medical claim form CMS 1500 and dental claims including attachments, patient billing, sends Good Faith Estimates; manages A/R including tracking returned signed, patient collection, posting of payments, follow up on delinquent claims, update spreadsheets for communication amongst team member and providers.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions.
