Job Summary

• The Global Category Management for Contract Research Organizations (CRO) is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for all CRO services with greater than 600 Million USD annual spend, required for Clinical Development across Takeda.
• This role involves developing and implementing global category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
• U.S. Base Salary Range: $174,500.00 - $274,230.00; U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives; U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.

Skills & Requirements

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• ISM Certifications: CPSM®, CPSD® preferred
• Minimum 13 years of experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain management
• Focus on Clinical Development in pharmaceutical industry
• Proficiency in Cirtuo, Ariba and SAP
