Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • The LVN ensures care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and direction from the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor to maintain the highest level of quality resident care.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, verify resident identity prior to medication administration, and ensure proper narcotic documentation and reporting of discrepancies.
