• The AECOM Water Business Line is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join the Phoenix, AZ office, focusing on hydrology and hydraulic modeling, stormwater and roadway drainage design, and municipal water resources projects.
• This role leads the delivery of mid- to large-scale infrastructure projects while providing a clear path into a technical lead role with PM responsibilities and growth within AECOM’s growing water resources practice.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with 8 years of relevant professional experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
• Master's in Civil Engineering or related field of study
• 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency with industry-standard modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SRH-2D)
• Experience leading design tasks on complex water resources or design-build projects
• Strong understanding of stormwater permitting, floodplain management, and regulatory coordination
• Experience developing grading, drainage, and roadway plans in coordination with CAD designers (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule for complex engineering tasks
• Experience preparing technical reports, calculation packages, and construction documentation
• Demonstrated technical review and quality control oversight experience
• Strong analytical skills with sound application of civil engineering design principles
• Effective communicator with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with other team members
