Job Summary

• The Assistant Research Scientist will work on a research project focuses on the molecular understanding of chaperone-mediated protein folding and translocation using cryo-EM, biochemistry, and computational modeling.
• The Assistant Research Scientist will carry out daily research tasks in the laboratory, including maintaining cell cultures; expressing and purifying proteins; performing biochemical and biophysical assays; determining protein structures using cryo-EM; training undergraduate and graduate students; and contributing to the writing of research proposals and publications.
• IBBR leverages state-of-art integrative methods for bioanalytical, biophysical and structural characterization of biomolecules: cryo-electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, x-ray crystallography, small angle neutron and x-ray scattering and mass spectrometry.
