Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or designee, the Medical Emergency Team (MET) Nurse plays a proactive role in identifying and managing patients at risk for clinical deterioration outside of the ICU and Emergency Department.
The MET Nurse collaborates with bedside RNs to identify acute changes, coordinates timely provider intervention and stabilizes patients before a rapid response or code blue is necessary.
In addition to emergency response, the MET Nurse acts as a resource to bedside staff, supporting clinical decision-making and implementing process improvements and training based on case reviews and quality data.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current licensed RN in Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
