The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a full-time Emergency Services Paramedic to provide direct and indirect patient care in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and experience, and the position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment

Job Summary

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the emergency services provider, including specific duties/procedures in relation to the care and treatment of patients to implement components of the plan of care through performance of technical procedures and skills.
  • Responds to campus emergencies as requested, assists in triage and ongoing patient assessment, and assists with resuscitation, airway management, vascular access and other procedures in accordance with the paramedic scope of practice under the direction of a physician.
  • Requires frequent exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, constant exposure to biohazardous conditions, and constant lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds.
