Key Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status desired
  • Expert knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA)
  • Expert knowledge of electrical power distribution (LV/MV switchgear, MCCs)
  • Expert knowledge of motor control systems (VSDs, soft starters, protection devices)
  • Proven experience in the water sector
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design software
  • Strong understanding of UK electrical standards
  • Strong understanding of functional safety (IEC 61511)
  • Strong understanding of hazardous area classifications (ATEX/DSEAR)
  • Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Full UK driving license
