Job Summary

  • The Float Pool Phlebotomist is primarily responsible for temporary assignments for unplanned as well as scheduled phlebotomist vacancies.
  • Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood specimens using appropriate blood collection equipment according to the Laboratory Specimen Collection Manual and Phlebotomy Procedure Manual.
  • Additionally, phlebotomists are expected to complete patient registrations as well as perform EKG testing (where applicable).
