Job Summary

  • This role will encompass the full project life cycle including project development, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing third party engineering consultants and contractors; specifying project configurations; specifying project performance, creating project specifications; preparing bids; evaluating bids; managing major equipment manufacturers supplying combustion turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators; and supporting permitting and commissioning efforts.

Salary

Base: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD; Bonus/Equity: 20% - 30%; Benefits: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off

Must-have

  • Thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion turbine performance
  • Manage third party consultants and contractors
  • Specify project configurations and performance
  • Evaluate bids from equipment manufacturers
  • Support permitting and commissioning efforts

Nice-to-have

  • Strong knowledge of combustion turbines
  • Direct experience with reciprocating engines
  • Proficiency in Thermoflow software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years experience in project engineering management
  • Familiarity with regulatory, siting, and environmental permitting processes
  • Knowledge and experience with project design and configuration
  • Experience in the power generation industry, specifically thermal energy
  • Spreadsheet modeling using Microsoft Excel
  • Valid US driving license
