The Bordenstein Lab at Penn State is seeking Part-Time Embark Peer Coaches to support first-year students on the autism spectrum during their transition to university life. Ideal candidates are current undergraduate students who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment

Job Summary

  • Embark Peer Coaches support incoming first-year students on the autism spectrum as they transition to Penn State through the Embark Penn State summer program.
  • Peer coaches will partner with participating students in a thought-provoking and reflective process that supports them in making sense of their experiences, identifying goals, and developing strategies for success.
  • This role provides an opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and facilitation skills while gaining experience supporting students in a higher education context.
