Job Summary

  • Performs a variety of engineering assignments to support project development, design changes, operations, installation, and maintenance of transportation systems to ensure safe, efficient movement for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists and / or physical security infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, and surveillance systems.
  • These systems are located at the Kennedy Space Center – at locations throughout the site, including at/around space flight hardware processing facilities, launch pad support buildings and facilities, engineering and administrative support buildings and other types of industrial and related support facilities.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Knowledge of industry standard computer software
  • Ability to read and interpret multi-discipline Engineering drawings
  • Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to read and understand schematics & blueprints
  • Strong ability to use data and analysis
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and reason
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges
  • ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
