Job Summary

  • Responsible for specimen handling and processing, with a strong emphasis in nucleic acid extractions, following the laboratory's pre-analytic and analytic procedures and maintaining records of tests.
  • Operates laboratory instruments and performs routine maintenance & procedural calibrations, maintaining projects and sample information through the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • 1 or more years laboratory experience
  • 1 or more years molecular laboratory experience
  • 1 or more years Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) experience
  • Proficient with computers
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
