This role oversees the strategic direction and execution of both core Data Engineering & Integrations and a newly formed AI Engineering Operations function within Workday's EDATA organization.
The successful candidate will lead diverse teams of data engineers and AI/MLOps specialists to design robust ETL/ELT pipelines and industrialize experimental models into production-ready services.

Salary
Base: $159,800 - $239,800 CAD; Bonus/Equity: Eligible for Workday Bonus Plan and annual refresh stock grants; Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available

Must-have
10+ years experience in data engineering
7+ years managing high-performing engineering teams
Expertise with AWS Snowflake Databricks ecosystems
Experience building MLOps AI Engineering Operations function
Deep familiarity with MLflow Kubeflow Sagemaker tools
Nice-to-have
PhD in Computer Science or related field
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to articulate complex technical concepts
Experience fostering culture of innovation and ownership
Key Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of expertise with major cloud platforms
