The primary responsibility of a GTA is to serve in a course support role under the direct supervision of a designated course instructor, while a GRA provides professional-level support related to research and creative activities.
GTAs will attend class sessions, serve as assistants in laboratory activities, lead class activities, tutor students, hold office hours, proctor examinations, grade assignments, and assist with instructional materials, while RAs will prepare reports, conduct independent research, and perform development work for designated projects.
