  • Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors.
  • The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field
  • CPR - BLS certification within 60 days
  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Units 1-7 & 9-10 within 60 days
  • CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 within 60 days
  • Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
  • Child growth and development education required
  • Minimum 2 years inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services per year of college for prior employees
