Key Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 4 years of experience in security, public safety, or customer service
  • Security Officer Healthcare Certification (CHSO) within two years
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license
  • Certified in Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) use within 90 days
  • Illinois Basic Security Officer course with semi-automatic pistol endorsement (for Illinois)
